Moving away from coal through regulations and incentives
is not far left. Implementing a 1000% tax on coal in 2021 would be a “far left move without consideration for economic impact”. Obviously that’s an extreme / exaggerated example, but somewhere between common sense regulations and incentives to drive energy from coal to clean energy and a 1000% tax on coal, you cross the line from moderate to far left. I would also consider an immediate and outright ban on fracking to be pretty extreme. I don’t think a biden administration will push for extreme energy policies, but I do think you have dopes on the left like AOC that don’t understand how the global economy works and would try to push fairly dramatic legislation without consideration for the disastrous economic consequences.
